Song Review
Song: Movin' Up
Overall Impression: The Brooklyn-based duo Michael & Flip has something special on their hands with their new tune Movin' Up. A soulful and inspirational slice of R&B, Movin' Up captures the essence of self-improvement and makes it available for all who will listen. It has a warm sound and easy-going groove that is both intriguing and solidly supportive for the vocals. While the music does lay back, the vocals manage to drive forward and add a sense of urgency that mirrors the lyrical message. After a single play through, listeners will be left feeling inspired and good about themselves. Overall, this is a song that uses its lyrics, mood, and fine musicianship to rise above and overcome challenges.
