Former lead singer of the Fatback Band, worked with Harry Belafonte on "Beat Street" movie, Saturday night Live with Lionel Richie, David Sanborn on multiple album projects. Has toured the world bringing excitement to fans and lovers of his music for years. His movie and T.V soundtracks include Brown Sugar, Snowfall, Class Act, and others. His music has been covered by Dr. Dre, Ashanti, Jeff Redd, All Saints, Cash Flow, Moni Love, and others. Currently working in collaboration with God's People, LLC to help combat poverty and hunger, through the revenue from the creation of Inspirational and uplifting music all over the world.
John "Flip" Flippin
Biography
A native of Brooklyn, New York, as a teenager he discovered his love for music and began crafting his skills in all aspects of music to become a professional Bassist, songwriter, percussionist, and producer. His career has afforded him the opportunity to perform with legendary greats such as Commodores, Bill Doggett, David Sanborn, George Duke, Funkadelics, Fatback Band, Brothers Johnson, Stephanie Mills, Taylor Dayne, and others. His music has been covered by Dr. Dre, Ashanti, Jeff Redd, Steve Walsh, Cash Flow, Spice Girls, and others. Music has taken him around the world performing and appearing on various television shows, and exciting fans for many years. Soundtracks inclusive of Sopranos, Brown Sugar, Class Act, Snow Fall and others.
Currently working in collaboration with God's People, LLC to help combat poverty and hunger, through the revenue from the creation of Inspirational and uplifting music all over the world.
